Are you passionate about making a positive and lasting difference for the people of Hull? Are you interested in working in an ever-evolving service area? This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with all aspects of appeals and reviews.

We are looking for someone with highly developed analytical, organisation, communication, and customer care skills to join our Housing Benefit Adjudication Team.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working within Housing Benefits Administration. Must be able to demonstrate excellent levels of quality and output, as well as have thorough knowledge of the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction Regulations. It would be advantageous to have a good understanding of the policies and best practices covering all areas of the Revenues & Benefits service.  

Duties include but are not limited to: dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information, quality checking, maintaining specific databases, processing/extracting complex data and preparation of court documents.

The ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences in an understandable and professional manner, after having applied complex Decisions and Appeals Regulations is essential.

The candidate will demonstrate an ability to manage their own time to meet targets and deadlines.

Please note that this is a Fixed Term position until 31st December 2025.
