🌟 Job Evaluation Officer 🌟

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our recently reorganised Organisation Development (OD) and Human Resources (HR) Team as a Job Evaluation Officer.

This is an important key role that will support the development and implementation of the job evaluation process to align with the organisation’s values and behaviours, promoting the council as an employer of choice.

Reporting to the Policy, Projects, and Industrial Relations manager you will work collaboratively across the organisation and with our external customers.  You will be required to provide a comprehensive and professional job evaluation service offering advice and guidance on job description content and job evaluation scheme methodologies. The postholder will deal with evaluations and appeals to achieve equitable and consistent remuneration throughout the council.

This is an excellent time to join us on our journey as we start to build and expand on our recent OD & HR reorganisation. If you feel that you have the relevant skills and experience to undertake this role, then we look forward to receiving your application.

What you’ll require is:

  • Level 3 Qualification in OD/HR related subject/area or have well-developed experience in a job evaluation setting.
  • Knowledge and experience maintaining job evaluation schemes.
  • Knowledge of Job Description writing, organisational structure design and HR policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of equal pay and employment legislation.

Please ensure that your application demonstrates how you meet the essential criteria against the person specification as listed in the job description.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Paul Shepherdson on 01482 613 165.
