Up to £29,777 Market Supplement.

Recognising the workforce demand these posts are enhanced with a market rate pay supplement in excess of the top of the substantive grade. An annual review will take place which could reduce, increased or removed the enhancement subject to market conditions.

We are looking to recruit a Financial Assessment and Visiting Officer to join our Financial Assessment Team, based at the Wilson Centre. We undertake hybrid working, meaning that we work from home and the office, depending on business needs.

This position is fixed term until 31/03/2025, full time (37 hours per week).

This postholder provides the front-facing role for the accurate completion of means tested financial assessments for people who are receiving services covering Adult Social Care. You will need to complete these assessments in the persons home, over the telephone or in a Council office.

You will establish how much they need to pay towards the cost of their care. You will make sure they fully understand how their contribution towards the cost of care and support has been calculated and how to pay. You will also need to setup a direct debit and ensure the first payment has been made.

You must be positive, engaging, adaptable to change, and possess excellent organisational, numeracy and communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and knowledge when working with people in order to quickly build rapport whilst calculating charges for care in a professional, diplomatic and supportive manner.

You will be provided with training so that you are able to deliver the requirements of this role.
