 | Customer service centres
| |
 |
 | There are nine one-stop shops for council services in Hull.
You can access over 130 council services at the centres, use the internet for free and get help from our partners, such as the Hull Community Legal Advice Centre. We have considered the needs of the community at each centre - for example the Holderness Road customer service centre has a library. So not only can you pick up books and use the internet but you can also pay your council bills and apply for services.
Members of the public can use the centres to access all council services such as applying for benefits or housing, getting bus passes, reporting street lighting repairs, picking up and getting help with council forms and paying bills.
The centres are friendly and helpful environments where staff members are on hand to help all week, including at least one late evening and Saturday mornings.

New city centre customer service centre
A new city centre customer service centre is planned at Queen Victoria House on Alfred Gelder Street (opposite Marks and Spencer). The aim is to open the new centre from winter 2010. This will replace the existing customer service centre on George Street.
As well as the usual services the new centre will –
- offer help with pensions
- have more rooms available to speak to someone in private
- make it easier to speak to other organisations such as the Hull Community Legal Advice Centre
- have a customer café providing refreshments
Customers will benefit from the larger, more central location which is close to many bus routes.
