Everyone is responsible for helping to keep children safe.
When anyone becomes aware that a child might be at risk or suffering from abuse or neglect, they have a duty to do something about it.
- If you think a child might be in danger, call the central duty team on 01482 448 879.
- If you know the child is already receiving a service from children's social care, you can call the family resource centre where the child lives.
- If there is an emergency outside normal office hours, please contact our emergency duty team on 01482 788 080.
- If a child is suffering abuse and requires urgent attention because of immediate danger, call the police on 0845 606 0222 or the emergency services.
