The complaints procedure allows for you to make representations, which are comments - either positive or negative - which require a response from us. Its main function is to ensure that when someone makes a complaint or representation, it is dealt with quickly and efficiently. It also allows us to see where services may need improving.
Advocacy support for young people making a complaint
Advocacy is when a person can speak for someone else to ensure their voice is heard or when they support them to speak up for themselves. A child or young person is entitled by law to advocacy support that is independent and confidential. This does not apply when it is an adult making a complaint.
We will provide all children or young people making a complaint with information on advocacy and appoint an advocate for them when asked to.
