Hull accredited landlord scheme - information for landlords
As a private sector landlord, you could receive a special accreditation by joining our Hull accredited landlord scheme.
Members of the scheme agree to work to a code of management and meet certain housing standards. This gives reassurance to your current and prospective tenants that you are a responsible landlord.
Benefits
The scheme is free to join and if accepted, you will receive certain benefits such as -
discounts for licensing fees, pest control and drainage services
advice and training
provision of reclaimed refuse bins, subject to availability
exemption from immediate inspection following a report from a tenant, unless urgent
Scheme aims
The main aims of the scheme are to -
improve the quality of accommodation available in the private rented sector without the need for enforcement action
improve the management of accommodation available in the private rented sector
set and monitor housing standards in the private rented sector
protect the health and safety of people renting private housing
How to join the scheme
If you would like to join the scheme, please download and complete the application form below. The form should be returned to the address at the bottom of this page.
You will also need to attend a one day training course in Hull on the housing health and safety rating system. The course is held once a month.
