Sundry debt

You can pay your sundry debt using any of the methods detailed below. You will need your sundry debt reference number. This is either a 10-digit number or a 12-digit number. You can find this number on your sundry debt invoice or Swipecard (if eligible).

Pay online

Sundry debt can be paid online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Pay online

Bankers order / standing order payments (BACS)

Sundry debt can be paid by bankers order / standing order using the following

  • Bank sort code: 62-11-79
  • Bank account number: 00000000 (8 zeros)
  • Paid to: Hull City Council.

You will need to quote your reference number as follows:  

  • If the reference on your invoice is 10 digits long. 
    The 10 digit reference number preceded by 00000200 making up an 18 digit reference number.
  • If the reference on your invoice is 12 digits long. 
    The 12 digit reference number preceded by 000005 making up an 18 digit reference number.

Please note: telephone banking and internet banking arrangements can be set up direct with your bank or on your own bank's internet  site.

Bank giro credit

Sundry debt can be paid by bank Giro credit if the reference on your sundry debt invoice is 10 digits long. A bank giro credit slip is printed on the front of the invoice for use at any bank.

Please note: If not using your own bank or NatWest, this method may incur a significant charge, payable by the invoice payer.

Telephone payments

Sundry debts can be paid via the telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, on telephone number 01482 300 300.

Please note: You will need to have your credit or debit card, account  details and a pen and paper available when you call. Callers will be  quoted a unique receipt number for each payment. All supplied data is stored on a secure database.

Cheques or postal orders  should be made payable to Kingston upon Hull City Council and you should write your account reference number on the back of your cheque or postal order.

Please note: cash should only be sent in registered envelopes.

Counter payments - in person only

You can pay at Hull City Council payment counters using cash, cheque, postal order or any of the debit or credit cards listed on the payments page.
