Social service charges
You can pay your social services using any of the methods detailed below. You will need your social services non-residential charges reference number. This is either a nine-digit numer or a 10-digit numer You can find this numer on your social services non-residential charges account or Swipecard.
Pay online
Social service charges can be paid online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
Social Service Charges can be paid by bankers order / standing order using the following -
bank sort code: 62-11-79
bank account numer: 00000000 (8 zeros)
paid to: Hull City Council
You will need to quote your reference number as follows -
if the reference on your social services non-residential charges account is 9 digits long The 9 digit reference numer preceded by 000034000 making up an 18 digit reference number
if the reference on your home care charges / social services non-residential charges account is 10 digits long The 10 digit reference numer preceded by 00000200 making up an 18 digit reference number
Please note, telephone banking and internet banking arrangements can be set up direct with your bank or on your own bank's internet site.
Swipecard payments
You can pay social service charges using a Hull City Council Swipecard at -
any post office in the UK (cash or cheque)
any PayPoint outlet in the UK (cash only)
council offices listed below (see counter payments)
To apply for a Swipecard (or to replace a lost Swipecard) ring 01482 300 300.
Please note, Swipecards hold social service charge reference numbers only and no other account details.
Social service charges can be paid via the telephone on 01482 300 300.
Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm
Please select the 'speak to an operator' option when you call and quote the following 'fund number' -
if your account reference is 9 digits long - Fund 34
if your account reference is 10 digits long - Fund 02
if your account is for a Lifeline service, the account reference is 10 digits long – Fund 31
Please note, you will need to have your credit or debit card, account details and a pen and paper available when you call. Callers will be quoted a unique receipt number for each payment. All supplied data is stored on a secure database.
Postal payments
Social services charges can be paid by post to -
Hull City Council Treasury Building PO Box 15 Guildhall Road Hull HU1 2AB
Cheques or postal orders should be made payable to Kingston upon Hull City Council and you should write your account reference numer on the back of your cheque or postal order.
Please note: cash should only be sent in registered envelopes.
Counter payments - in person only
You can pay at Hull City Council payment counters using cash, cheque, postal order or any of the debit or credit cards listed on the payments page.
