To get your concessionary travel pass you must go in person to one of our issuing offices which are our customer service centres.
A photograph will be taken at the issuing office so you do not need to take your own. You will need to bring proof of ID and age such as pension book, birth certificate or driving licence and proof of residency such as rent book or a utility bill.
Men and women of pensionable age
If you live in England, you’ll be entitled to a bus pass giving free off-peak travel on local buses when you reach eligible age. Residents of Hull can use their bus pass anytime of the day for journeys starting within the city boundary.
If you were born after Wednesday 5 April 1950, the age you become eligible is tied to changes in the state pension age for women. This affects both men and women. To check your elibility, please download the PDF below -
you will be asked for proof of ID and proof of residency

Medically unfit to drive
you will be asked for proof of ID and proof of residency
you should bring a letter from your doctor stating that you are medically unfit to drive (your doctor may charge for an examination or for the written confirmation required by the application) or a letter from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Centre (DVLC) refusing to issue or withdrawing your licence on medical grounds. (DVLC letters D206 or D235)
If you become fit to drive again you should return your pass to the issuing officer.
