Hull City Archives

If you are interested in the history of Hull, Hull City Archives holds a wealth of information, covering the rich and varied fortunes of the city, dating from the 13th century to the present day.

Extensive collections held in our records office include the archives of the city council and its predecessors, local businesses and societies, non-conformist churches, schools, local families, municipal cemeteries and records of the courts.

It is now possible to search archive lists from both our archives and local studies library collections, and books from the local studies library via our online catalogue. Records available include the Winfred Holtby collection (WH) and crew lists of trawlers 1884-1914 (DPF).
