With free entry, Hull History Centre houses archives and local studies resources from the council and University of Hull including collections of local and national significance that date back over 700 years.
It archives include records of the city council and its predecessors, local businesses and societies, non-conformist churches, schools, local families, municipal cemeteries and records of the courts
Other items of interest at our records office include letters from Amy Johnson, the famous lady aviator from Hull, the Yorkshire Film Archive online and maritime records including whaling log books, fishing crew lists and the records from Ellerman's Wilson line.
Archives can be viewed with a valid CARN ticket. To register for a free CARN ticket please bring proof of identify.
