Have your say at Riverside area Priority meeting - 10/09/2012
Residents in the Riverside area are invited to discuss local issues at their next meeting on Thursday 13 September.
The Riverside area meeting will take place at the Guildhall, Alfred Gelder Street from 6pm.
Area Team Officers and partners including police, neighbourhood nuisance officers and the environmental enforcement team will all be on hand to talk to people about local issues.
Jane Price, Area Director for the Riverside Area, said:
"These meetings are a great opportunity for local people to let us know how we can make it a better place to live.
"We hope residents will come along to tell us what concerns they have and help us set the area priorities for the next six months."
At the last conference in February 2012 residents highlighted a number of issues that have since been tackled by the council and partners. Feedback will be given at the ward conference on 13 September.
The current priorities in each ward include:
Drypool:
Holland Street - environmental and community safety issues
Kingston Retail Park - problems from night time activity
Holland Street - working with local landlords
Myton:
Antisocial behaviour on Midland Street
Vagrancy and Street begging on Boardwalk and City Centre
Myton 2
New George Street - environmental issues.
St Andrews:
Bean Street Park - environmental issues
Airlie/Aylesford and Albemarle Street - environmental issues
Newington:
Absent landlords OTT (Anlaby Road/Hawthorn Avenue area)
Flytipping/ Street cleaning - Sandringham and Granville Street
Public drinking - Anlaby Road
