With Sky Ride Hull coming in less than two weeks, visitors to the event are being urged to beat the traffic and take advantage of group bike rides taking them to the event.
As many of the city centre roads will be closed for the duration of Sky Ride Hull, group cycling is a great way for visitors to get to the event.
Volunteers will lead the cycle rides, which leave at 9.30am, from three locations taking visitors straight to the Sky Ride Hull event in the city centre:
* Bridges Pub, Sutton Road
* East Park, meet at Pavilion Cafe
* Pearson Park, meet at the statue
Melanie Hudson, British Cycling Officer for Hull City Council, said:
"Cycling in is a great way of warming up before the Sky Ride Hull event gets underway from 10am.
"It will help to reduce traffic on the roads leading to the city centre, and people who use these rides will be taken along as many off road paths as possible. This is a great way for residents to discover our great cycle paths and use them more in the future."
There will be no return rides as people will want to enjoy the big event at their own leisure. But participants can copy the route back on their own when they have finished their day.
Sky Ride Hull will run from 10am - 3pm on Sunday 19 August and is run in partnership between Hull City Council, British Cycling, Sky and Viking FM. Already nearly 700 people have signed up to the event.
More information about the three rides can be found at goskyride.com/hull and search for 'social cycling groups'. To register for Sky Ride Hull visit goskyride.com/hull.
