Work club launches for ex-Armed Forces personnel - 26/07/2012
A Work club to offer employment support for ex-Armed Forces personnel will officially open on Monday 30 July at Londesborough Barracks, Londesborough Street, Hull.
A number of partners including Hull City Council, 150 Yorkshire Transport Regiment, Jobcentre Plus, Goodwin Development Trust and Hull College has developed the Work club to offer support ex-service personnel to get back in to work.
The Work club will take place every Wednesday and Thursday from 12noon - 4pm and will provide support with searching for jobs, preparing CVs, interview techniques, computer courses, careers advice and support in becoming self employed.
Councillor Steve Walker, said:
"This Work club is going to give ex-service personnel the support they deserve and will make a great difference. This continues our commitment to support those who have dedicated their lives to our country."
