Hull City Council's Chief Executive, Nicola Yates, will be leaving the Council with effect from 8 July 2012.
Nicola was appointed as Chief Executive in November 2009 and has guided the council through a period of considerable change in a challenging economic climate. Notable achievements during this time have included:
Enhancing the profile of Hull City Council both regionally and nationally
Delivering a major financial and operational re-structure of the Council whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Bringing significant regeneration to the city and leading a 'Green City' agenda, including the prospect of investment from major manufacturing international companies
Ensuring sensitivity in relation to the delivery of those services that affect the most vulnerable in our city
Leader of Hull City Council , Councillor Stephen Brady, said:
'I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nicola for her time, hard work and dedication to Hull and the Council. I wish her all the best in the future.'
Departing Chief Executive Nicola Yates thanked the leader for his good wishes and said:
"My role as Chief Executive of Hull City Council has been enjoyable and challenging and I wish the Council, its staff and the city the very best in the years ahead."
