Humber Street to come alive with arts, workshops, music and drama - 25/06/2012
As part of the Humber Mouth Literature Festival, Creative Voice is holding a weekend of arts, activities, music and performances on Humber Street. It will be a chance to get involved, or if you prefer a chance to sit back and enjoy the performances taking place both on the street, in the galleries and in Fruit.
On Saturday 30 June between 12pm and 5pm there will be arts, crafts, a lyric writing workshop, book making and percussion workshops.
There will also be music in Fruit from 6pm showcasing some of the great musical talent in the city, featuring performances from Freedom Road, Stevie, The Press, The Void, Tourist information, Moxie and a number of other artists.
On Sunday 1 July, along with Humber Street Market, there will be a Warhol photo booth, story telling, arts and crafts workshops for all the family to get involved in, including helping to create the longest book in Hull, with artist Mandy Keating.
Sunday at Fruit will be drama focused with performances between 4.30pm and 8.30pm featuring Hull Truck Young Writers, Stealth Theatre, Hull Truck Youth theatre, Freedom Road and Friends.
At 7pm people have the chance to see the first performance of a play prior to its run at Edinburgh Festival. Middle Child Theatre Company presents 25:13: Red: 15 Blue.
Creative Voice is working in partnership with Freedom Road Creative Arts, City Arts Unit and Art in the Park to bring a weekend of art, music and drama. Come along and join in
