On their marks! Toddlers in Hull are 'getting set' to support a runner in the Olympic torch relay by making their own replica torches this weekend.
Emily Curry, who is a children's centre practitioner at Marfleet Children's centre, is one of the few locals who will be running with the torch when it comes to the city next week.
From 10am - 12noon, on Saturday 16 June, Marfleet Children's Centre has arranged a number of Olympic themed arts and craft activities to help children aged up to five years feel part of this once in a life time event.
During the morning youngsters and their parents will be able to make their own Olympic torch when the Scrap Store visits the centre. Some of the families are expected to take their creations along when they go along to Mount Pleasant to see Emily take her place in the relay at 6.35pm on Monday 18 June.
