The latest dates for the next round of Breeze Bike Rides, social cycling specifically for women, taking place over the next month are out now.
Breeze Rides are part of a national initiative with rides organised by women for women and they are run in conjunction with Hull City Council and British Cycling.
There are five Breeze Bike Rides starting from next week that women can take part in as follows:
Wednesday 20 June, 1.30pm from University of Hull
Tuesday 26 June, 1pm from Lonsdale Community Centre
Friday 29 June, 6.30pm, from Ella Street
Sunday 1 July, 10am from Hessle Square
Tuesday 10 July, 1pm from Lonsdale Community Centre
Melanie Hudson, Cycling Officer for British Cycling and the Council, said:
"The Breeze Bike Rides are a brilliant way for women to take part in exercise through an organised ride led by women. The rides usually last one to two hours and travel around eight to twelve miles dependent on the ride they choose to take part in. The pace is really steady and we always make sure you can chat as you cycle and plan in a rest stop.
"Breeze Bike Rides are a great way to see the city and are just one of many free events that aim to get people back on their bikes. It's also a great way to meet new people and find out more about the city's cycle paths as we use as many off road and traffic free routes as possible."
In addition there is also the Big Breeze Bike Ride taking place on Sunday 24 June at East Park. Here you can meet the Breeze leaders and find out more about all the rides listed above. Although the bike ride is for women, there's fun for all the family with a range of events.
