Get on your marks for two new jogging groups helping women get ready for the Race For Life in Hull.
Hull City Council, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, has set up the two groups which will offer free weekly one-hour sessions at:
- Costello Stadium, Analby Park Road, Hull - starting on Tuesday 22 May at 7 pm,
- Woodford Leisure Centre, Holderness Road, Hull - starting on Wednesday 23 May at 6.30 pm.
Each session will be led by Community Sports Development Officers who will help build the participants fitness and confidence leading up to this year's Race for Life on Sunday 29 July.
This is the first time Cancer Research UK has engaged with a local authority to organise such an activity in the UK and the two groups will be funded through the Active Women project
Other jogging groups open to all in Hull include:
- Run with the Robins - Mondays from 6:30pm at Craven Park Sports Arena, Preston Road, Hull
- Ennerdale Jogging Group - Tuesdays at 6:30pm - Ennerdale Leisure Centre, Sutton Road, Hull.
