City to see 100th Lord Mayor installed - 21/05/2012

The new Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber, Councillor Daniel Brown, will be officially installed in office on Thursday 24 May.

Councillor Brown was elected at the Council's annual meeting last week and he will be the 100th Lord Mayor for the city.

During the installation ceremony the previous Lord Mayor, Councillor Colin Inglis, will hand over the chain to the new Lord Mayor. Councillor Daniel Brown will then pass the Deputy Lord Mayor's chain to Councillor Nadine Fudge.

The ceremony takes place in the Guildhall Council Chamber at 11am.

The new Lord Mayor will also announce the charities he will support during his year in office.
