Hull bus passengers satisfied with their journey - 04/05/2012
The results of the latest independent Bus Passenger Survey carried out last autumn by Passenger Focus are released.
According to the survey, 85 per cent of passengers travelling within the city who use the frequent commercial bus services are satisfied with their journey.
Out of the areas surveyed throughout the country, Hull was second with 66 per cent of fare paying passengers for being satisfied with the value for money.
72 per cent are satisfied with the punctuality of the bus and 87 per cent of passengers said they felt safe during their journey within the city.
Graham Hall, Assistant Head of Service for Transport and Asset Management, said:
"Hull is known for being a bus city and these results show that there is high public satisfaction with local bus services and the frequency of commercial bus services. This has been achieved through a partnership approach with our local bus companies.
"The city's state of the art Transport Interchange and unbiased quality bus service information at bus stops have also contributed to the satisfaction results."
These latest results support the level of satisfaction from the National Highways and Transport Public Satisfaction survey that was carried out last year.
