Press Releases In Council, Government And Democracy

Customer service centres opening hours - 07/03/2012
Hull City Council's nine customer service centres are all open for business to offer an improved service to all customers. Members of the public can use the centres to access all council services such as applying for benefits or housing, reporting street lighting repairs, picking up and getting help with council forms and paying council bills. There is also free internet access in some sites.

Each month, an average of 37,000 people use the centres to access all council services such as applying for benefits or housing, reporting street lighting repairs, picking up and getting help with council forms and paying council bills.

In the city centre, The Wilson Centre on Alfred Gelder Street has extended its Saturday opening hours and is now open from 10am - 4pm. As well as all the others services available at The Wilson Centre you can also buy tickets for events at Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre as well as register births and deaths and give notice of marriage.

Holderness Road and Ings customer service centres are also open late till 7pm on Thursdays. The Customer Service Centres across the city provide a face to face service to customers wishing to access Hull City Council services. Staff are on hand to offer support, help and advice to customers.

Councillor John Hewitt, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities, said:

"Our customer service centres are just one of the ways to contact the Council to report, pay, book or apply for services. These provide vital support and advice to people across the city.

"There have been reduced opening hours and I want to thank residents for their patience during this time. All sites are now open and looking forward to serving our residents."

The opening hours of the sites do vary, so please check before you visit. For more information on services available, find your nearest customer service centre and opening times visit www.hullcc.gov.uk, join us on Twitter at Hullccnews or call 01482 300 300.
