There's a packed agenda for the next meeting of Hull City Council's Tenants' Forum, which will take place at The Guildhall on Monday 20 July from 10am - 1pm.
In addition to the usual feedback from the service improvement groups, tenants will have the opportunity to question Hull City Council Leader Carl Minns about changes to the structure of the Council's housing department. Also, Lisa Buttery from "300 300," Hull City Council's call centre, will be talking about how your calls are dealt with. Ian McNicholl, a member of the Forum, will give a short presentation to raise awareness of domestic violence, particularly against men; and Enid Savill, who is hotfoot from the Northern Housing Consortium's conference, will report the latest news about tenant involvement.
Encouraging the Council's tenants and residents to attend the Forum, Cllr Carl Minns said: "By getting involved in the Tenants' Forum you can directly influence the way we deliver our housing services. You can have your say on what we are doing well, what we could do better, and together we can make decisions which will enable us to help deliver top class housing services."
Hull City Council is the first local authority in the UK to receive national accreditation by the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) for the work we do to involve tenants and residents in improving housing services.
