Using a consultant to manage your business’s health and safety

If you have decided that you require advice to manage your health and safety and you want to find a consultant, you can search for a consultant on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).

The OSHCR is an online directory of accredited health and safety consultants. The consultants on the register have met certain standards within their professional bodies.

You can use the register to find a consultant with experience in your type of work.

As a dutyholder, it is your responsibility to ensure that the consultant is competent and suitable, based upon your particular business needs.

This register is not the only way to find someone to help you with health and safety, but these consultants will have had their qualifications and experience assessed by their professional body.
