Family activity boxes

Why not book a free family activity box to use during your visit to Ferens Gallery?

Designed to help adults and children investigate artwork together, each box contains arty facts, activities and stories suitable for children from babies to 12 years, choose those you feel are appropriate for your child.

You can choose activity boxes for the following artworks -

  • Portrait of Cornelia Burch aged two months 1581 (by unknown artist)
  • Ulysses and the Sirens 1909 (by Herbert Draper)
  • Shepherd Boy and Cow 1690 (by Pedro Nuñez)
  • View on the Grand Canal 1881 (by Canal Antonio Canaletto)
  • Icon II 1960 (by Barbara Hepworth)
  • The Lion at Home 1881 (by Rosa Bonheur)

Boxes must be used with adult supervision.
