Take a giant step into the Summer Reading Challenge!

Join up for the our themed reading challenge that runs each summer and receive your own special membership card. Read six books over the summer and not only can you collect a whole range of extra gifts along the way, you will also be entered into a prize draw to win a special prize at the end of the summer.

On completing the challenge, you also receive a medal and a certificate.

Throughout summer, our local libraries also run free activity and craft sessions based on the theme of the Summer Reading Challenge.

The 2012 challenge

2012's challenge has now closed and was our most successful yet with almost 1600 children completing the journey!

Details of 2013's challenge will be updated on this page in the coming month's so keep checking back for more details and get involved!

If you enjoyed 2012's theme, why not listen to the Story Lab song? Select the file below to listen to it on your computer, using the media player you have installed (Windows Media Player, Quick Time or Real Player for example).
