Learn to swim

If you would like to learn to swim or gain more confidence in the water, we offer a range of swimming lessons for adults and children. More advanced classes are also available through our swimming clubs.

Swimming lessons run weekly during school term time. The number of lessons per course varies dependant on the course you attend.  You can do up to three courses a year.

Children's swimming lessons run weekly for 44 weeks of the year with a four week break during the summer, two weeks at Christmas and two weeks at Easter.

Your child will benefit from -

  • expert tuition
  • rolling hop on hop off programme
  • progression at their own pace
  • free smimming cap for each stage
  • direct debit payment of £20 per month over 10 months (no payment in August and September)
  • free junior swimming during any public session for juniors on direct debit

All our swimming teachers are fully qualified to ASA Level 2 or equivalent. They hold the National Pool Lifeguard qualification or Teachers Rescue Test Certificate.
