I need help deciding what career might be for me
Not sure if you fancy being a dog groomer, prison guard or plumber?? Take your time and don’t rush into anything.
Try making a list of your talents and strengths! Answer these questions to help you get an idea of what might suit you -
• What do you like doing? What are you interested in?
• Are you a natural leader? How do you cope when working as part of a team? Do you prefer to work on your own?
• How well do you think you’re going to do in your exams?
• Think about the people you know and jobs that they do or jobs you’ve seen on TV – do any interest you?
• What is it about the job that appeals?

Once you've got a rough idea of what you might want to do, you'll need to find out what you need to do to get the job of your dreams. Find out:
• What qualifications and skills do you need?
• How can you get them and which colleges / training providers offer these courses’?
• What are the rewards of the job?
• What might put you off the job? In what ways are you suited to this career?
