European elections

Any registered person over the age of 18 was able to vote in these elections. Voting for these elections is organised on a regional basis. Kingston upon Hull is part of the Yorkshire and the Humber Region.

MEPs representing the UK are elected under a form of 'closed list' proportional representation, for the distribution of seats. There were six seats up for election and 21 councils in the Yorkshire and Humber region, including Hull.
