Hull Christmas Lights Competition
A massive well done to Ryan Snitch from Malet Lambert and Sean Kemp from Northcott, winners of the Christmas Lights Switch On competition. Ryan and Sean are the lucky winners of two VIP invitations to join in the fun at the Christmas Lights Switch On.
You can join in the excitement too at the Christmas Lights Switch On on Thursday 20 November with last year's X Factor winner, Leon Jackson, Sam and Mark from Viking FM, Darren Lethem from Magic, chart-topping girl band, The Saturdays, Santa, the Lord Mayor and special guests.
On the night Santa and the Lord Mayor will leave the Guildhall at around 5.30pm led by the City of Hull Pipe Band and will travel along Lowgate, Market Place, Silver Street, Whitefriargate and into Queen Victoria Square.
As well as Santa and his reindeer, children will be delighted to see some of their other favourite characters including Hull City's Roary the Tiger, Hull FC Airlie Bird, Hull KR's Rufus the Robin and Viking's Buster the Bear.
Other entertainment will include the winners of the Viking FM school choirs competition and the ever-popular "Caroloke" - a carol singalong for the crowd with words to follow on the big screen.
