Area action plans

An area action plan provides a planning framework for communities where significant change is needed. Areas of West Hull (Newington and St. Andrews) and East Hull (the Holderness Road corridor) have been identified as areas in need of change.

We want your help to produce the area action plans that will show the way you want your area to develop over the next 10 – 15 years. The plans will cover all of the things that help make a successful community – from housing, schools and shops to transport, jobs, community facilities and green spaces.

The Hull city centre area action plan (AAP) was withdrawn on the 15 July 2010. The continuing impact of the recession, including the reduction of public sector funding cuts and changes to regional planning policies required a re-think on how future development happens in the city centre.
