Summer Holiday Rider with Stagecoach in Hull

Good news for those of you who want to get out and about during the summer holidays… The Holiday Rider is back!
 
From Saturday 18th July 2009 to Sunday 6th July 2009 if you’re aged 5-16 years you can have unlimited bus travel between 9.30am and 10pm for a bargain £1.

You can buy your Holiday Rider from the bus driver when you show your Future Card. Download the leaflet below to apply for a Future Card. If you're aged 5-11 and accompanied by an adult you don't need a Future Card.

Different ways of getting around Hull

Bus routes

There are loads of buses going to the cinemas, town centre, and other places you might like to chill out in and they can be cheap and frequent - perfect! Check out the bus routes and timetable, so you can plan your next trip easily:

If you’re aged between eight and 16 and live in Hull find out more about if you can get money off or even free bus travel to your school. Call (01482) 300 300 and ask to speak to the Welfare Benefits Team or email studentsupport@hullcc.gov.uk.

Cycle routes

Cycling can be fun, healthy and a cheap way to get around.

There are loads of routes you and your mates can explore as well as safer routes to school. Check out the Hull ‘Go Cycle’ map that has loads of cycle routes around the city that you can use.

Check out the road safety page of this website for more top tips to keep you safe and cool ideas to blinging your bike! Here are a few reminders…

  • Always let your parent or carer know where you are going with your bike.
  • Be well trained and keep in control of your bike.
  • Always wear a well fitting helmet.
  • Be seen! Wear bright clothes and use lights after dark so drivers can notice you.
  • Be alert when you’re on your bike – follow traffic signs and signals and make sure you have a good look round and behind you before making any moves
  • There are cycle parking spaces throughout the city where you can lock up your bike.
  • Always plan your route - try and use cycle paths or cycle routes.
