Get in touch
We all have a right to be listened to by those who look after the area we live in. People like council representatives, local councillors and MPs are there to listen and help!
There are loads of situations where contacting these people can help raise awareness of stuff and maybe even change things that are important to you. For example:
- You cycle to your mate’s house – but the road is dangerous and a cycle path would make it safer
- You want to know why only certain things can be recycled
- You are not happy about how clean the streets are around your home.
It’s not just about problems and complaints, if you have a great idea for something that will improve the street or neighbourhood, get in touch with the Council, they may be able to make it happen.
Find out what’s going on in the holidays, let the Council know what you think about the area you live in, or even tell them if you think your dinner lady is great!
You can telephone (01482) 300 300 and explain what you want to find out and you will be put through to people who can try and help you.
