Preventing homelessness

If you are at risk of losing your home you can get help from our housing options team. You do not need an appointment to see us - just come to our walk-in service at The Wilson Centre.

Find out what help is available if you are already homeless

You can get help and advice about -

• staying in your current home, if for example your landlord, family or friends want you to leave
• your rights to stay in your home
• mortgage and rent arrears

• the options open to you if you are experiencing domestic abuse

You can also get help to secure alternative accommodation if needed. This could be in the form of -

• a hostel

Walk-in service

You can access our walk-in service at The Wilson Centre between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You do not need an appointment.

To allow enough time for us to discuss your housing options with you, please attend before 4pm. If you come to us after this time we will only be able to give you emergency housing advice. If you know that you are likely to need emergency accommodation we strongly advise you to come and see us as early in the day as possible.
