Housing strategy and renewal

The housing strategy and renewals team is responsible for -

• the housing and neighbourhood renewals strategy and research to inform this
  
  
• securing, managing and maintaining the funding, partnerships and delivery mechanisms which are critical to generating investment in homes and creating successful and sustainable neighbourhoods
  
  
• area action plans
  
  
• neighbourhood renewal (for example extra care, Kingswood area action plan, building schools for the future and flood protection)
  
  
• delivering projects to deal with low demand, low value and unsustainable housing stock
  
  
• delivering projects designed to improve the energy efficiency of the housing stock
  
  
• engaging communities, partners and stakeholders, taking account of their views
  
  
• providing information, advice and support for residents directly affected by the plans (such as by acquisition, demolition or refurbishment) through a regeneration team
