Health and medical advice

We work in partnership with the local Primary Care Trusts to improve health and health-related support in Hull. The partnership currently has an agreed focus on four health priorities in Hull -

  • smoking
  • obesity
  • drugs
  • alcohol

These reflect the priorities identified in the government's 'Choosing Health' White Paper, as well as locally identified health needs. In Hull we have much higher levels of some of the major risk factors connected with poor health such as smoking, high alcohol consumption and poor diet.

Director of Public Health for Hull
The post of Director of Public Health for Hull is a shared post between the West Hull Primary Care Trust, Eastern Hull Primary Care Trust and Hull City Council.
