Planning policy

Hull City Council is responsible for all planning issues for Hull. We –

  • research and create far-reaching, strategic plans to guide the development of the city
  • create planning policy and guidance to control and steer development
  • provide area action plans
  • provide supplementary planning documents

Planning policy is concerned with forward plan making. We are involved in preparing the new Hull local plan for the city and joint planning with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
