Planning policy is concerned with forward plan making. We are involved in preparing the new Hull local plan for the city and joint planning with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
We are currently preparing Hull's new local plan documents –
the core strategy This sets the overall vision and determines the key principles for future planning policy in the city. It covers housing, business, services and open spaces. It will include a key diagram which will show approximate locations for new development and investment
a site allocations document This takes forward the key principles outlined in the core strategy. A related proposals map shows the sites where new development and investment is likely to occur
