Supports raising the achievement of different groups of children and young people -

  • generic support to schools for general learning difficulties
  • children in early years with disabilities
  • children with medical needs
  • children in public care

Special educational needs (SEN) inclusion and monitoring team

  • supports schools, services and units to self-evaluate and develop SEN
  • raises awareness of access and disability issues, young carers and the 14-19 agenda
  • ensures we meet our statutory duties and responsibilities with regard to children educated at home by their parents/carers
