Adult Learners Week, Saturday 18 to Friday 24 May

Are you looking to improve your current job prospects? Are you an organisation looking to help support adults with lifelong learning? Are you looking for a fun learning experience? Then take part in one or more of our free taster sessions being held in locations across the city. Adult Learners' Week is an opportunity for individuals and organisations to celebrate the benefits of lifelong learning.

If you want to work, or already work, in adult social care or childcare (Up to 19 years) or are a teaching assistant, there are also a number of information sessions taking place during Adult Learners' Week.

Need to brush up on your maths, English or computer skills? Fancy learning a new skill such as flower arranging or playing the guitar? Want to learn how to research your family history? These are just some of the courses available to you at adult education.

Course subjects

	Computer skills - Learn new computer skills or study for a nationally recognised information technology (IT) qualification.
	Free English and maths - Brush up or learn new skills, or gain qualifications in English or maths.
	English ESOL - Improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing if English is not your first language.
	Courses for students with learning difficulties or disabilities - Work towards a City and Guilds certificate, do a foundation course, or just come along and have fun.
	Family learning - Fun learning activities where children and parents, carers or grandparents learn together.
	Adult skills and wellbeing - Courses and workshops for beginners or if you want to take a hobby or passion to the next level.
	Working with children courses - If you work with children and young people, or are considering a career in this field, work towards a nationally recognised qualification to help you at work.
	Health and social care courses - Find out about the health and social care and drug awareness courses we offer.
