Personal treatment licences

Hull City Council registers hairdressers, barbers, acupuncturists, tattooists, earpiercers, body piercers and premises carrying out electrolysis. We do this to help maintain the health and safety of customers.

What you need to do

You will need to complete an application form before opening one of the premises listed above. A Health and Safety inspector will then arrange a visit. The application form is available to download below -

Payment

Registration for hairdressers and barbers is free of charge.

For all other registrations there is a one-off fee -
