Pay a city centre BID levy

Users of older web browsers

Unfortunately users of older and less popular web browsers, may experience layout irregularities whilst using our Online Payments Service. This does not affect the functionality or security of the system. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working with our suppliers to try and resolve this.


Pay online

With our Online Payments Service Online Payments Service you can pay the following Council bills 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, with any of the following types of Credit or Debit card.

  • Visa
  • Visa Electron
  • Visa Delta
  • MasterCard
  • Maestro
  • Solo
  • JCB

An email receipt containing a unique receipt number will be provided for each payment where an e-mail address is supplied. If an email address is not supplied or an immediate receipt is required, the receipt page can be printed. All supplied data is stored on a secure database.

Pay over the phone

You can pay your city centre BID levy over the telephone 24 hours a day, seven days a week including at weekends and bank holidays. Just call (01482) 300 300. Any information you give us is stored in a secure database.

You will need to have your credit or debit card, account details and a pen and paper with you when you call. We will give you a unique receipt number for each payment.

Bankers order/standing order payments (BACS)

You can pay by bankers order / standing order using our bank details below:

  • bank sort code: 62-11-79 
  • bank account number: 00000000 (8 zeros) 
  • pay to: Hull City Council

You will need to quote your eight-digit city centre BID levy invoice reference number (starting with 8 or 9), preceded by 0000230000 to make up an 18-digit reference number.

You can set up telephone and internet banking arrangements directly with your bank, or using your bank's website.

Make your cheque or postal order payable to Kingston upon Hull City Council, and write your levy invoice reference number on the back of the cheque or postal order.

You should only send cash in registered envelopes.

Pay in person

You can pay at Hull City Council payment counters using cash, cheque, postal order or any of the debit or credit cards listed on the payments page.
