Get involved

Are you interested in the quality of your local environment? Would you like to make a difference in your community?

People in your area are working with the council to monitor the quality of the local environment. Residents, councillors, community wardens, council employees and others with an interest in the environment are monitoring streets, shopping centres, parks and playgrounds in their area by recording levels of litter, graffiti, fly posting and more.

Encams - the ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ people - are working with the council's waste management department holding workshops to demonstrate how to measure the area’s cleanliness and what can be done to improve it.

If you would like to help us measure your local area's cleanliness you would need to commit a couple of hours per month or less to complete and simple form and return it to us. You can decide when to do the survey.

We need more people to help with this project so if you are interested, would like to attend or would like more information please contact your local area team.
