West area team buildingWest area team

The West area, one of seven areas of the city, is made up of the Boothferry, Derringham and Pickering wards. It has a population of 27,548 (2001 census).

The area team delivers council services in your area including streetcare, housing services, parks and gardens.  The team also works closely with partner organisations including Humberside Police, NHS Hull, community wardens, children and young people’s services and local community and voluntary groups, to address the issues that you tell us are your priorities.

Ward and neighbourhood forums

Ward and neighbourhood forums are informal meetings held on a ward level every three months. All residents are welcome to attend and raise issues relating to their neighbourhood. These issues can then be dealt with by the local ward councillors, the West area team and its partners.

Community safety action partnership (CSAP) events

CSAP meetings are an opportunity for you to identify safety priorities in your neighbourhood. At the meetings you can raise issues with the West area team, Humberside Police, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and other partner agencies. At each session we give feedback about the work that has been carried out on the priorities identified at previous meetings, and new priorities are set for everyone (the council and our partners) to work on. CSAP meetings take place every three months.
