Help for pupils

We work hard to make sure that all pupils in Hull have the chance to overcome any obstacles that might prevent them from achieving their full potential.

Including everyone

We want to make sure that all pupils are fully included in the curriculum and life of their school, whether they have learning difficulties, disabilities, go to a mainstream school or not, or have a different level of ability.

We work hard so that young people can get an education that's appropriate for them, no matter what their gender, race, religion or social circumstance is.

Schools monitor and evaluate the achievements and standards of pupils, including their attendance, behaviour, achievement and attainment - both with their studies and socially. Sometimes schools arrange extra help for pupils from within the school or from external agencies. Schools can also put on a different curriculum.

Hull City Council collects and analyses the information schools send us, so we can challenge schools to improve where we can see that some pupils are not doing as well as they could.
