Hull Grid for Learning
The Hull Grid for Learning provides information to teachers, learners of all ages and parents via a series of notice-boards. It includes over 1000 educationally assessed web links and teachers, parents, residents can submit web links to the web links library.
There are a series of galleries for schools to contribute pupils’ work for display on the web. The galleries contain pictures, written work and musical compositions, enabling pupils to show their work to their peers and to share it with parents at home.
The Hull Grid for Learning also has unique interfaces for Foundation, and Key Stages 1 to 4, thus providing learners with an appropriate method of accessing the Hull Grid for Learning. Hull Grid For Learning has a schools database. This contains detailed information on each school, including name, address, postcode (for linking to Multimap), contact details and a link to the school web site. The Hull Grid for Learning also has a large selection of online activities to enhance learning and teaching. Each activity comes complete with educational notes to assist both teachers and parents wishing to use these activities with children. There is also a link to the Training Manager which is a one stop shop for courses and conferences provided by the local authority. This web based interface allows those working within our schools and units to view and reserve places on line.
