Activities for young people

What we aim to do

We aim to encourage young people to take part in positive activities that help them to develop and that strengthen their communities.

The youth development service works together with organisations across Hull to promote health and well-being, and help young people achieve more. We work with children and young people from all backgrounds and cultures to -

  • build positive relationships with them
  • listen to them and understand their needs
  • work with them to plan and review activities that build their confidence and self-esteem
  • support them through childhood and teenage years

This gives young people more knowledge and understanding plus a greater awareness of their own needs, the needs of others and of the community.
