About planning
Building control Hull building control is responsible for administering the Building Regulations for applications made to it, within the city boundaries. Hull building control also has responsibility for enforcement of the Building Regulations where these are contravened, in certain circumstances.
Planning development control Planning development control deals with the processing of planning applications, taking account of our corporate objectives, policies and briefs, Government guidance and the individual merits of each scheme, in order to manage development in the city in the public interest. Planning policy and information Produces statutory land use plans and policies and deals with biodiversity issues.
Urban design and conservation Urban design and conservation deals with conservation areas, historic buildings and promotes quality in the design of buildings and the spaces around them.
