How to apply

You can apply for housing benefit by -

  • telephoning our call centre on 01482 300 300 or text phone and requesting a telephone claim. 

    A benefit officer will call you back within 48 hours to complete a claim over the phone.  They will then arrange to visit you to verify the information you have given is accurate and collect any evidence to support your claim.

  • visiting one of our customer service centres or information points to collect a housing benefit application form

  • requesting a home visit from one of our visiting officers (who will bring the form with them)
