Youth Enterprise

If you are a young person aged up to 25 with the ambition to start your own business, Youth Enterprise can support and encourage you to make it happen.

If you are 14 to 25, we can help you access -

  • free business advice and support

  • advice on applications for funding for business

  • information sessions on enterprise for young people and community workers

  • up to £1000 funding from the Youth Enterprise Bank

Hull Ready

Young children can also benefit from Hull Ready, an enterprise programme run in primary schools and in partnership with Rotherham Ready.

The scheme enables primary aged children to get a loan of £150 from a local business to develop their business idea with support from a mentor.

Global Entrepreneurship Week

One of the largest events of its kind in the country, Hull's contribution to Global Entrepreneurship Week gives young people the chance to learn how to put their ideas into practice, and also hear motivational speakers from a programme called 'Enterprising People'.

Badgers Sett Enterprise Challenge

Every year between June and October, we run a competition where you can pitch your enterprising ideas to a panel and win investment towards it, as well as expert advice to help develop your idea further.
